Tony Wells, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for 24 Hour Fitness joined the company in 2007. Areas of responsibility include; advertising, promotions, brand management, public relations and sponsorship marketing for the company which is headquartered in the San Francisco bay area. Prior to joining 24 Hour Fitness, Wells served as Vice President, Client Services for VISA USA, Inc. In this role he was directly responsible for the global relationship management for HSBC Bank. Wells first joined Visa USA as Vice President, Partnership Marketing where he oversaw daily operations and management of Visa’s sponsorship, event and alliance efforts. Wells also heads to 24 Hour Fitness with previous work experiences with General Motors R*Works, SFX Sports Group, a division of Clear Channel, Mills Corp., and Nissan North America, Inc. A native of Washington, D.C., and a former Marine officer, Wells received a B.S. degree from the United States Naval Academy and a management certificate from Johns Hopkins University. He has served on the National board of directors for Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Make-A-Wish-Friends Mid-Atlantic, and his alma mater Our Lady of Good Counsel High School.
