She also has worked for Accu Bite Dental, The Kellogg Company and Lever Brothers (where she launched the first national campaign for Close-Up toothpaste targeting the Hispanic market in the U.S.). These many groundbreaking, professional accomplishments also earned her a leadership award from the Detroit Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic MBAs in 2006.
She earned her master's in business administration from Stanford University (1986). She also has degrees from the University of California, Davis (1982) and Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Quertaro, Mexico (1978).
