Bill Ogle is chief marketing officer (CMO) of Motorola Mobility, which includes the Mobile Devices and Home businesses of Motorola, Inc. In this role, Mr. Ogle is responsible for leading marketing and branding efforts across the globe. He and his organization are responsible for building Motorola Mobility's brand presence and driving both demand and sell-through of the company's products and services around the world. Since joining Motorola, Mr. Ogle helped lead the successful DROID by Motorola, CLIQ, and DROID X by Motorola launches.
Mr. Ogle brings a wealth of consumer and global experience to the task of preparing Motorola Mobility's brand strategy for the eventual separation into a separate company. He draws on his experience with some of the most recognizable global consumer brands.
Mr. Ogle most recently served as CMO for Samsung Telecommunications America where he developed an extensive knowledge of the mobile devices industry as he helped drive that company's rise in the North American market. Previously, he was CMO at Pizza Hut where, during his 12 years with the company, he helped reposition the brand and achieved significant sales and market share growth. He also served as Pizza Hut's CMO in the United Kingdom where he helped redefine brand awareness and guided the overseas division to record sales and profit. He then returned to Pizza Hut's Dallas headquarters in 2002 as the chief concept development officer, launching the restaurant's Italian Bistro and WingStreet brands.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Ogle held brand management positions at Procter & Gamble and Sara Lee Corporation.
Mr. Ogle currently serves on the CMO Council Board of Advisors, The Arts Community Alliance Board of Directors and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts.
Mr. Ogle received his bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Cincinnati.
