Kevin George is Vice President and General Manager of Deodorants and Hair Care for Unilever U.S. Kevin leads one of Unilever's three business units and is a member of the Unilever North American Leadership Team reporting to Mike Polk, President, Unilever Americas.
Kevin is responsible for the overall business management, operations, financial performance and marketing of all Unilever deodorant and hair care brands in the U.S., including such leading brands as AXE, Degree, Dove, and Suave. The retail sales of this business unit are in excess of $2 billion.
Previously, Kevin served as Marketing Director, Deodorants, responsible for the marketing, media, activation and business performance of all Unilever deodorants throughout the U.S. He was a critical player in the launch of AXE Bodyspray into the North American market and has helped lead the team that delivered the brand to the #1 male deodorant brand in the marketplace in less than four years. Kevin is often a featured speaker at conferences on digital marketing is a regular guest lecturer at the business schools of both the University of Michigan and Indiana University.
Over the past 6 years, Kevin's team has been responsible for developing a number of award winning, leading edge marketing campaigns and media plans for the Unilever portfolio of brands.
Since joining Unilever in 1996, he has held successful positions in Brand Management, Customer Marketing, Sales, General Management and International Sales Management.
Prior to Unilever, Kevin spent seven years at Seagram Americas selling and marketing Captain Morgan Rum and Absolut Vodka.
He holds an undergraduate degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and an MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Kevin resides in the suburbs of Chicago with his wife and three children.
