Anand Rao is a Partner at Diamond with over 16 years of industry and consulting experience, helping senior executives structure, solve, and manage critical issues facing their organizations. He has worked extensively on both business and technology issues across a wide range of industry sectors including financial services (retail, corporate, and investment banking, payments, and insurance), telecommunications (mobile and fixed-line), aerospace, retail, and resources. While at Diamond, Anand has advised leading organizations and global companies on strategies spanning risk management and compliance, customer value management, multi-channel integration, segmentation, and proposition development.

Prior to joining Diamond, Anand was instrumental in setting up Agent Oriented Software, a software house specializing in advanced decision support systems. He has also co-edited four books on Intelligent Agents and has published over 50 papers in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence in major journals, conferences, and workshops.

Anand holds an MSc (Tech) in computer science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in India and Ph.D. in computer science from University of Sydney, where he was awarded the University Postgraduate Research Award. He received an MBA from Melbourne Business School.
